Clearwater International advises Clearwater Group Ltd on its sale to Marlowe plc

Clearwater International has advised Baird Capital Partners (BCP) on the sale of Clearwater Group, a provider of water solutions and services to estate owners and facilities across a variety of sectors, to Marlowe plc.

Founded in 1990 and employing approximately 375 staff across 11 locations, the Clearwater Group, which has been owned by BCP since 2015, provides services mainly related to water treatment, hygiene and compliance across the UK and Ireland. The Group has approximately 2,400 customers across a broad range of end markets, including; healthcare, education, food processing, leisure and public services.

Marlowe is a UK leader in specialist services which assure the safety and regulatory compliance of commercial properties, whilst managing risk for businesses across the country. The acquisition by Marlowe forms part of their strategy to broaden their capabilities in water treatment and hygiene.

Clearwater International advised BCP on the sale as well as providing debt advisory support to the shareholders. This is the third deal in the water treatment space on which Clearwater International has advised, following on from the cross-border MBO of Ovivo and the sale of EnviDan to Via Equity.
