Swedish Djursjukhusgruppen is the largest group in animal hospitals and is owned by the private equity group Fidelio Capital. Since its founding in November 2011, Djursjukhusgruppen has consolidated the Nordic veterinary industry through the acquisition of more than 40 animal hospitals and clinics. The shareholders of Aarhus Dyrehospital took, after careful consideration about the best options for future development for the benefit of patients and clients, the decision to sell the company to Djursjukhusgruppen

Aarhus Dyrehospital, founded in 1966, treats about 12,000 patients annually and thus Jutland's largest animal hospital. Aarhus Dyrehospital has special expertise in ophthalmology, orthopedics, oncology and dermatology and service both local patients who referred patients from all over Jutland and Funen.

Aarhus Dyrehospital moved in February 2013 into a brand new veterinary hospital and offers an unique residential and emergency duty. The existing shareholders at Aarhus Dyrehospital continues in the company after the sale, and still play a central role in Djursjukhusgruppens development in Denmark.
