Clearwater International invests in three new tech partners to bolster the TMT team

Clearwater International has completed 49 deals involving TMT businesses in the last 12 months and now ranks in the top 10 European financial advisors in the TMT space according to the Mergermarket 2020 financial advisor league tables.

With an impressive track record and a healthy pipeline of TMT deals across Europe, Clearwater International has announced promotions and new hires to bolster the team.

Clearwater International is delighted to announce the appointment of Wesley Fell-Smith to Partner. Based in London, Wesley joined Clearwater International in 2014 as a Director in the TMT team and during the last seven years, he has completed 17 deals worth close to €1bn. Wes has been a key driver and contributor to the team completing key deals including advising one of the UK’s leading digital transformation consultants Infinity Works on its sale to Accenture, advising CloudShift, a leading Salesforce partner in the UK specialising in multi-cloud digital transformation, on their sale to Globant and advising Advanced on its acquisition of HCM technology company Mitrefinch.

Clearwater International has also recently recruited two new partners to the UK and French TMT teams.

Nathaniel Cooper joins Clearwater International in the UK with over 15 years’ M&A experience and significant knowledge of the digital media, online marketplace, marketing technology, B2B information services and data, and software markets. Nathaniel is a senior M&A banker with significant blue-chip experience gained at DC Advisory and Deloitte advising on deals such as ICG’s acquisition of leading alternative assets data provider Pageant Media, the sale of digital and subscription-driven publisher Immediate Media to Hubert Burda Media and the sale of programmatic advertising software provider The Exchange Lab to WPP.

Clearwater International in France has recently appointed Jérémy Sartre to co-lead the TMT team alongside Nicolas Saint-Pierre. Jérémy joins Clearwater with over nine years of M&A experience from SGCIB, Barclays Capital and Avolta Partners as well as experience as a tech entrepreneur supervising a leading European crowdfunding platform through over 60 funding rounds. Jérémy has recently advised companies such as gaming business Voodoo, real estate development business Nexity and HR provider Adecco on their M&A tech acquisitions, as well as several B2B SaaS platforms on their funding rounds and sale processes.
