As CEO of the UK business, my role is focussed on leading our talented team and defining our UK strategy. The ultimate aim is to enable the team to continue delivering positive outcomes for all of our clients.
I joined Clearwater International in 2012 to head up our Debt Advisory arm, following my previous role with Ernst & Young.
Leading the Debt Advisory team and advising businesses continues to be a core part of my responsibilities. This includes working with corporates, private equity backed entities and entrepreneurs across a range of sectors and geographical locations, on putting suitable debt structures in place to support the business’ needs and requirements.
Some of my recent transactions include advising Sykes Cottages on raising debt facilities to support the acquisition of Forest Holidays, arranging debt facilities to support Equistone’s investment in WHP Telecoms, advising Daisy Group on an Ares debt package consisting of over €1bn of debt facilities to support the company’s “buy and build” strategy, and advising Waterland Private Equity on raising debt finance to support the acquisition of integrated medhealth communication group.
I have over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having previously worked for Ernst & Young, Banco Santander and NatWest/RBS. During my time as a corporate banker, I arranged a number of innovative and high-profile debt facilities for corporates with multi banked relationships and debt requirements in excess of €50m. This experience has proved invaluable in assisting clients since switching from providing debt to actually advising clients.
